Drum Sticks

It consists of 4 parts which are the tip, shoulder, shaft and butt. The tip part is normally being used to strike on the drumheads. It is sometimes known as a bead too. Tip is normally made of wood just like the whole drumstick. However, other materials such as nylon and acetal can also be used to make the tip part. The part which is slightly below the stick is called shoulder. This part of the drumstick will get easily broken if it is held incorrectly. The remaining part of the stick is called shaft and the opposite of the tip is called the butt.
