Violin Mute
Mutes are used to produce muted sound. Violin mutes are normally put between the bridge and tailpiece. Other than that, it is put on one of the strings. It is either in contact or attached with the bridge. Mutes slow the vibrations and reduce the volume of the sound. Therefore, it is used when the violinist complains while playing.
